Add Pup Joint Details

9. Enter the make up loss in inches or in mm if you have downloaded the Space Out M (for metric unit).

10. Select the desired pup joint number. Note that once a number has been assigned to a pup joint, that number no longer exist in the numbers available. This is to prevent duplication of pup joint numbering causing potential confusion.

11. However, if the pup joint is deleted from the pup inventory screen, that particular pup joint number will be returned back to the list of numbers available. This provides flexibility to reuse the number for another pup joint.

12. Enter the overall length of the pup joint (end to end measurement). The app will automatically generate the effective length taking into account the make up loss figure.

13. In the case where make up loss is not usually taken into account (e.g BTC thread - where make up is done to the triangle), enter “0” as the make up loss.

14. Tap Save to save the data and return back to the pup joint inventory screen.

Analysis/Results

15. Enter the target length/gap and tap Analyse.

16. The app generates the combination of the pup joint instantly.

17. Feedback on whether the overall string is longer or shorter compared to the requested length/gap is displayed at the bottom together with the total number of pups selected in the result.

19. Change the target length/gap as desired at any time and the app will regenerate the result.

Delete Rows

20. Individual rows are deleted by swiping the row to the left and tapping the red garbage icon.
